Kristin DeLeo, LCSW

Kristin graduated from Barton College with a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Criminal Justice Criminology in 2003. She then received her Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University in 2010 where she focused on substance abuse and addiction disorders. Kristin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2013 and has worked in multiple settings including medical hospitals, crisis response, outpatient, and inpatient substance abuse facilities working with adults of all ages. Kristin's scope of practice includes, but is not limited to: ADHD, adoption, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, grief and loss, unresolved trauma, and substance abuse disorders. Working with patients through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-Centered Approach. Kristin specializes in Geriatrics and family systems.

Kristin is passionate about helping individuals recognize their full potential. Meeting individuals and walking alongside them in their journey of self-discovery and resource development. By empowering and encouraging in a non-judgmental, safe, and compassionate environment. Working to increase self-compassion, authenticity, and decreasing shame and anxiety. Taking it one-day at a time through therapy and healing you can develop a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Asking for help can feel like you failed or like something is wrong with you.
